Briefing by News4U · First published
An Aer Lingus Airbus A320 flying from Dublin to Rome was diverted to Evreux airbase west of Paris after a bomb threat on Thursday and escorted by French military aircraft; 151 passengers and six crew were moved to safety after landing. Bulgaria reported three aircraft requested emergency landings due to bomb threats, while other flights in Italy and Belgium also landed under heightened security. The incidents follow similar threats earlier in the week that prompted emergency searches and military escorts for several European flights. [1] [2]
