Briefing by News4U · First published
Sixteen companies have objected to tokenized versions of their shares trading on the OKX-ICE platform, representing about 25% of the 62 firms originally proposed.
Microsoft, Alphabet and Goldman Sachs are among 16 companies that have formally objected to having tokenized versions of their shares traded on the OKX-ICE platform, a joint venture between crypto exchange OKX and Intercontinental Exchange, the parent of the New York Stock Exchange. [1] [2]
The updated public notice dated Oct. 19 adds seven new objectors, including Qualcomm, Caterpillar, McDonald’s and Western Digital, bringing the total from nine last week. The objections come under the SEC’s five-year Innovation Exemption framework, which allows issuers to opt out of the proposed 24/7 tokenized trading venue. [1] [2]
