Musk says Tesla will wind down Cybertruck production next year

Briefing by News4U · First published

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has said the company will wind down production of Cybertrucks at its Texas facility amid poor sales, according to Al Jazeera. In a Friday post on X, Musk wrote that Tesla will wind down Cybertruck production at Gigafactory Texas around the middle of next year to make room for increased Cybercab production. Cybertruck sales were about 38,965 units in 2024 and 20,237 in 2025, far below an earlier outlook of about 250,000 a year. Musk did not say whether manufacturing would shift to another factory; Texas is the only known production site. [1]
