ZTE denies report of handset-business joint venture talks

ZTE denied a report about a proposed handset-business partnership with an unnamed internet company and Shanghai state-owned capital, ITHome reported, citing Guancha's enquiry to the company. ZTE said the report was untrue. The earlier Leiphone report, relayed by ITHome, had cited an employee at a related company as saying the internet company proposed investing about 8 billion yuan while ZTE sought a business valuation of about 40 billion yuan.
