LeCun resurfaces warning that Altman, Hassabis, Amodei seek AI regulatory capture

Today Yann LeCun said on X, posting a reminder of a thread from three years ago, that Sam Altman, Demis Hassabis and Dario Amodei "are the ones doing massive corporate lobbying at the moment" and "are attempting to perform a regulatory capture of the AI industry." He wrote that if fear-mongering campaigns for bans on open AI research and development succeed, "a small number of companies will control AI." [1]
