Iran's foreign minister welcomes US outreach, says no meetings planned

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told Al Jazeera that Washington's attempt to open dialogue was a positive step, while saying there were currently no plans to meet US officials. He said an Iranian delegation, including an aide, was in Doha to continue consultations with mediators. Iran had examined a letter from US Vice President JD Vance in high-level meetings, he added. Araghchi said any direct or indirect talks would depend on Tehran's conditions being met, and described reports of forthcoming meetings as speculation. [1]
