Zelenskyy says EU must not ease Russia sanctions after deadly strikes
Briefing by News4U · First published
Yesterday Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on X that support for those who protect lives must continue as long as Russia keeps attacking Ukrainian cities and communities, after thanking partners for condolences following brutal Russian strikes. He said Ukraine is grateful for EU sanctions that continue to work and grow stronger, and that the new EU sanctions package should target not only companies and individuals involved in weapons production but also schemes that fund Russia’s war. He warned that no easing of sanctions can be allowed, because that only strengthens Russia’s belief it can achieve its aggressive objectives. [1]
