Today Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on X that Russia carried out a complex, massive overnight attack aimed primarily at Ukraine’s critical energy infrastructure, including power plants and substations across multiple regions, with emergency and unscheduled outages ongoing. He said overnight launches included 289 attack drones, 17 ballistic missiles and 59 cruise missiles, that a Kharkiv city hospital was hit with 73 people injured, and that Russia has killed 29 people in Komyshuvakha. Zelenskyy added it was telling the assault came on U.S. congressional election day and urged help to defend Ukraine’s skies. [1] [2]
