Today Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on X that when negotiating teams — trilateral or bilateral — argue that a ceasefire needs more preparation time, weapons pullbacks and a Ukrainian buffer zone, that approach is unnecessary. Citing an interview with Jake Tapper on CNN, he said the Oleshky ceasefire showed monitoring can be done with drones and video evidence of violations, that warfare technology has changed, and that ending the war comes down to Putin’s political will. He said the Oleshky decision was made quickly and worked, and that Ukraine hopes to push Putin toward peace with U.S. mediation. [1]
