New images obtained exclusively by The Verge reveal details of Akai’s forthcoming MPC Sample Key. The instrument has a 37-key keyboard, pitch and modulation wheels, and a design the publication says appears aimed at pitched sample playback rather than drum slicing. Akai had previewed the product earlier this week; its launch timing and price remain unannounced, according to the report. [1]
