US agencies say Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang was targeted by suspected Chinese spy

US intelligence agencies believe Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang has been targeted by a Chinese spy who had done business with him, according to a New York Times report cited by The Guardian. Alice Huang, also known as Huang Le and unrelated to the Nvidia CEO, is an executive at Singapore-based datacenter firm Megaspeed and was previously suspected of smuggling Nvidia chips to China; officials concluded she was a Chinese intelligence asset passing commercial information to Beijing, the Times reported. White House officials are said to be alarmed by her access because of Huang’s close partnership with Donald Trump. Nvidia said customer meetings are routine and that Megaspeed received ordinary business information, not trade secrets or national-security material. [1]
