Ukraine PM rejects permanent EU farm-export curbs after accession
Briefing by News4U · First published
Today Ukraine's Prime Minister Yurii Koretskyi told Euronews that Ukraine should face only temporary restrictions on agricultural products after joining the European Union, warning against permanent exemptions from the bloc's single market. Speaking at the Euronews Enlargement Summit, he said Kyiv understands European farmers' concerns and is ready for an open discussion, but transitional measures must address specific risks, be appropriate, and have clear review and exit conditions, adding they cannot become a permanent restriction or a subset of the single market.
