Baidu unveils Apollo World model for autonomous-driving simulation

Baidu Apollo disclosed Apollo World, an agent-driven multimodal world model for physical AI, at its AI Day event in Shenzhen, ITHome reported. The company says the model simulates traffic participants that can decide and interact, responds to driving actions, and generates camera and lidar observations for a continuous perception-action feedback loop. Baidu also proposed a framework with 2 basic criteria, causality and interactivity, and 3 advanced measures: physical accuracy, persistence and real-time performance. The report says Apollo World is already being used in Apollo Go's global testing and validation. [1]
