The United Arab Emirates said it has rescued 22 people from a cargo ship that caught fire after Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps reported that two oil tankers had struck mines in the Strait of Hormuz, according to Al Jazeera. The UAE National Guard said specialised teams found the vessel in the Gulf of Oman after the crew reported a fire and rescued all 22 people of Arab nationalities, who were given first aid and handed to authorities in stable condition. The National Guard did not specify the cause of the fire. The IRGC said the tankers switched off navigation systems and tried to use an unauthorised route. [1]
