FBI says North Korea stole more than US$6 billion from Binance

The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation said Saturday that North Korea was responsible for the theft of more than US$6 billion in cryptocurrency from Binance earlier this week, Yonhap News Agency reported from Washington. In a cyber alert, the FBI said the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea was responsible for the theft of more than US$6 billion in virtual assets from the exchange on or about October 29, 2026. [1]
