Chery executive expects to address domestic NEV profitability gap around 2027
Briefing by News4U · First published
Chery executive vice-president Qi Shilong expects the company to address the profitability weakness in its domestic new-energy vehicle business around 2027, or in the second half of 2027, ITHome reported, carrying Sina Technology’s account of a media discussion. Qi said Chery was adjusting its product mix and wanted new technology to make products more attractive, rather than competing solely on price. He also said higher-end brands needed greater scale to offset substantial research and development spending. The timing was his expectation. [1]
