Zelenskyy thanks EU for €4.36 billion disbursement ahead of wartime winter
Briefing by News4U · First published
Today Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on X that he is grateful to Ursula von der Leyen, the European Commission and EU member states for today’s €4.36 billion disbursement to Ukraine — €3.7 billion in macro-financial assistance and €660 million in defense support under the Ukraine Support Loan. He said the money will go toward pressing needs such as strengthening Ukraine’s energy resilience and procuring drones, electronic warfare and air-defense assets, arguing that support ahead of winter denies Russia any hope of plunging Ukraine into a blackout and destroying normal life.
