Briefing by News4U · First published
The New York Times and other publishers have sued Brave Software over alleged unlawful scraping for AI and allowing browser users to bypass paywalls, The Verge reported. A complaint by companies behind the New York Daily News, Chicago Tribune and Orlando Sentinel alleges that Brave sells AI companies access to its index of scraped websites for model training or answering queries. The allegations are the publishers’ claims. Brave had not immediately responded to The Verge’s request for comment when the report was published. [1]
