Zelenskyy says Russia killed 18 in Komyshuvakha double-tap strike, urges tough response

Briefing by News4U · First published

Today Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on X that an utterly horrific Russian attack hit the settlement of Komyshuvakha in the Zaporizhzhia region. He wrote that aerial bombs struck a school used for humanitarian aid and that after the first strike a double-tap followed with 9 more bombs targeting a shelter, with 18 people reported killed and 5 injured. Zelenskyy said Russia could not have been unaware that residents received aid there weekly, arguing the killings show Moscow wants no de-escalation and is counting on more killings, and he called for a strong and tough response from the world plus support for Ukraine.
