Today Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on X that he held a coordination call after Russia’s strikes, that Russia used 36 missiles on a ballistic trajectory with only four intercepted, and that Ukraine still has a significant shortage of Patriot interceptors that the United States is best placed to help fill. He said preliminary findings show North Korea-manufactured KN-23 missiles damaged a key energy facility, that Russia is intensifying attacks to pressure Ukraine’s negotiating position, and that Kyiv needs faster deliveries and stronger sanctions against those enabling the strikes.
