WHO chief warns violence is bringing Ethiopia's health system closer to collapse

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warned in a statement on Monday that violence in northern Ethiopia was bringing an already fragile health system closer to collapse, Al Jazeera reported. He described shortages of medical staff, medicines and equipment, severely restricted ambulance services and insecurity blocking supplies. Tedros called for protection of civilians and access for health workers and medical products. [1]
