China hands over Mazu weather-warning equipment for Sri Lanka

An integrated device for Sri Lanka under China's Mazu weather-warning programme was formally handed over on November 1, ITHome reported, citing the China Meteorological Administration. The project combines cloud-based early warning with local hardware for monitoring, forecasting, warnings and services. Hardware is in place while customised software development continues; operational use is expected by the end of 2026. [1]
