ITHome reports that on 31 October the State Power Investment Corporation started construction of Haiyang nuclear power plant Phase 3, the first Shandong nuclear project approved in the 15th Five-Year Plan; the two CAP1000 units will each generate 1.3 million kW and, once complete, make Haiyang the world’s largest fully passive PWR site.
