Crypto groups spend over $200 million on 2026 U.S. midterms

Briefing by News4U · First published

Sina Finance reports that crypto groups have spent over $200 million in the current U.S. election cycle, exceeding spending by online gambling and data-center interests. Fairshake and its affiliated super PACs are backing 33 House candidates—19 Republicans and 14 Democrats—including six incumbents who each receive at least $1 million. The recipients include Republican Representatives Bryan Steil of Wisconsin, French Hill of Arkansas and Bill Huizenga of Michigan, and Democratic Representatives Janelle Bynum of Oregon, Derek Tran of California and Steven Horsford of Nevada. The industry aims to replicate its 2024 success when super PACs spent $250 million to elect pro-crypto lawmakers. [1]
