Briefing by News4U · First published
On November 4, Apple researchers posted the paper “Perceptive Humanoid Motion from Simulation” on arXiv, introducing the HALO autonomous control system and deploying it on Unitree’s G1 humanoid robot. In six unmapped real rooms, the robot completed 360 single tasks with a 91% average success rate; three long-sequence composite tasks averaged 70% success, and the most complex sequence scored 50%. The team used 250 NVIDIA H100 GPUs for 48 hours to generate training data and released the code for data generation, model training and deployment. [1] [2]
