Musk says Tesla may lease Optimus robots, not sell them
Briefing by News4U · First published
ITHome reported that Elon Musk told the 33rd Barron's investment conference in New York that Tesla may lease Optimus robots rather than sell them. He said early units would cost about $30,000 each and could be five times as productive as humans. Tesla has begun early production at its Fremont factory with a planned annual capacity of 1 million units, but Musk expects full production speed to take at least another year. Internal factory use is planned first, with external deliveries targeted for late 2027. [1]
