Bernstein lowers OpenAI 2030 infrastructure spend estimate to $614 billion

Briefing by News4U · First published

Sina Finance reported that Bernstein analyst Mark Moerdler said OpenAI’s confirmed contracts could translate into about $614 billion in infrastructure spending by the end of 2030, lower than the widely cited $750 billion figure. The estimate assumes all contracts are executed as planned, but actual spending may be reduced or delayed by data-center construction delays, project cancellations and hardware flexibility. OpenAI’s annual infrastructure spend is projected to peak at $184 billion in 2031. Bernstein noted that OpenAI’s annualized revenue reached nearly $50 billion as of September, up 77 percent year-over-year, and that revenue growth could help fund the expanding compute demand. [1]
