Wang Zhijun named new Hunan Party chief as Shen Xiaoming, Mao Weiming step down

The Paper reports that on Oct 24 the central authorities appointed Wang Zhijun as Hunan Party secretary, replacing Shen Xiaoming; Mao Weiming also left his posts.
On Oct 24 the central authorities announced at a Hunan provincial meeting that Wang Zhijun was appointed Hunan Party secretary, member of the Standing Committee and committee member, while Shen Xiaoming was removed from those posts and Mao Weiming was removed as deputy secretary, Standing Committee member and committee member, The Paper reported. Wang Zhijun said he fully supports and obeys the Party Center’s decision and will work with provincial leaders to advance Hunan’s development. Shen Xiaoming, Mao Weiming and Xie Weijiang also pledged full support for the decision. [1]
