SBS News reported that Beau Lamarre-Condon told a NSW Supreme Court jury he accidentally shot Jesse Baird and Luke Davies in self-defence after being threatened with a knife and gun. The former senior constable admitted responsibility for the deaths but maintained the shootings were unintentional, claiming he acted in self-defence when Baird allegedly pinned him with a knife and Davies pointed a gun at his chest. Prosecutors allege the former police officer executed both men in an act of jealous obsession. Lamarre-Condon will continue to be cross-examined when the trial resumes on Monday. [1]
