Mair Godley says Essex councillor Carl Johnson compared her English lessons for asylum seekers to aiding Germany in WWII.

The Guardian reported that 78-year-old volunteer Mair Godley claims Reform UK councillor Carl Johnson accused her of “facilitating the invasion” and likened her to a Nazi collaborator for teaching English to asylum seekers at the former Wethersfield military base in Essex. [1]

The exchange occurred at a 14 October parish council meeting after her husband Nick Godley questioned local security measures. Johnson reportedly said he did not want his daughter “raped and murdered by asylum seekers.” [1]

Nick Godley lodged a formal complaint with Essex county council. Reform UK and Johnson have not responded. [1]
