China's NRTA sets 95% AI penetration target for broadcasting by 2030

ITHome reports that China's National Radio and Television Administration (NRTA) issued the 15th Five-Year Plan for broadcasting and online audio-visual in October, setting a 2030 target of 95% or higher AI penetration in the sector and more than 150 million new terminals. The plan also calls for a cross-screen, long-and-short video distribution system. NRTA officials stated on November 5 that the agency will support live-action micro-dramas and regulate AI-generated ones.
