M&S first-half profit rebounds to £355m-£403m after 2025 cyberattack
Briefing by News4U · First published
Marks & Spencer reported first-half adjusted profit before tax of £355m-£403.2m, up from £3.4m a year earlier, on sales that rose 16.2% to £9.2bn-£9.26bn, with food sales up 13.9%-14% and fashion, home and beauty sales up 17.5%. Clothing and homeware sales and profit remained below two-year levels due to lingering effects of the April 2025 cyberattack, including manual ordering constraints and higher online fulfilment costs. The company said availability has now recovered and expects second-half improvement, while forecasting full-year profit in line with market expectations of £941m. [1] [2]
