Briefing by News4U · First published

The Guardian reports that 12 Second World War veterans attended the Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph in London, outnumbering the nine former prime ministers present, including Andy Burnham for the first time. The oldest veteran was Jeffrey Brereton, who served in the RAF during the Battle of Britain. King Charles laid the first wreath, joined by Prince William. Reform UK leader Nigel Farage laid a wreath for the first time after his party reached eight MPs. About 10,000 veterans marched past after the service. [1]
